Fishing reports straight from our guides in Lake Placid
The weather has been hot and steamy and the bite has been pretty good considering. Have caught some trophies lately and still putting good numbers in the boat with shiners. The bites a little tougher with artificial baits but we're still putting good numbers and good size in the boat especially for the season that we're in. Early morning trips are the best to beat the Heat and we're even doing some evening trips as well.

This has been the hottest boat out of Fort Pierce. Mahi have shown up as well as Blackfin Tuna. Sails are also being caught. Bottom fishing has been fire for Jumbo Lane Snapper, Cobia and Triggerfish.

Some of the biggest Blackfin Tuna we've seen in years. All taken on a new proto type lure that was designed by Mahi Maniacs lures here in South Florida. Our clients went 4 for 12 on these hogs.

Okeechobee bass fishing is picking up,with some bigger females showing up in the reeds and under mats,the peacock bass in the inland lakes and canals,took a hit with the cold weather, resulting in some fish kills,but overall,still a bunch of them.clown knife fish have been very active also,the speckled perch on okeechobee have been doing god,kinda hit and miss with the higher water the lakes holding,but if you find them,you can catch them!!
