Blue water is in close right now. Bite seems to be better in the afternoon right now than in the morning, but we've been catching them. Bottom fishing has been great and so has blue water trolling. A lot of shark activity so we're having to get them to the boat fairly quick before the sharks get on them.

Exciting time here along the forgotten coast. There's chrome in the water. In the last week, things have really turned around. Our weather patterns have gotten their act together, the water has warmed up and the early season tarpon are showing up. We are getting them dialed in and launching silver king rockets every chance we can. Fishing tarpon around the correct tide allows for some fun days fishing redfish then changing gears and chasing tarpon.

Trout bite has been good; they are moving out of the creeks out to the flats for spawning. The reds are in the pass and up shallow if you like to sight fish. Sheepshead are just starting to show up; the bite is still slow for them but should start getting excellent any day. Offshore Vermillion snapper has been excellent! We've been catching some triggers and a red grouper. The Amberjack is always a great way to finish up a trip of catching and releasing them

The weather is starting to break here on the Forgotten Coast. Just in time for spring break, redfish are invading the flats, and oh boy, are they hungry? Fish have been seen cruising the outside bars and chasing the tide up to the shoreline. A well-placed fly, soft plastic, or gold spoon has been getting the job done. Take a trip south to Apalachicola and let me introduce you to our hot inshore fishery.

The Redfish are on fire right now. We've had consistent enough weather to pattern the fish, and the water is warming up enough to keep them active. Topwater plugs is my favorite way to target these fish right now, but I'll also use swim baits and jigs. The Red Grouper bite was on fire this last week with the couple of good weather days we had, and the Vermilion Snapper and Triggerfish have been consistent all month. Red Snapper and Amberjack are easy to find, but until their season, we'll keep targeting other species. Spanish Mackerel are starting to get...

Spanish Mackerel are starting to get caught in the bay, but I expect it to be April 1st before the bite fires off.

The Vermillion Snapper are biting! The red grouper has slowed down a little but still catching a couple each trip. The Amber Jack bite inshore and off has been great fun to catch and release. The inshore Redfish are shallow been sight fishing for them and the big trout are starting to bite.

Spring fishing is ramping up! Starting see the hering and threadfins moving inshore which means our Spanish will be here anytime. Starting to catch a few sheepshead at the jetties. Red Grouper and Vermillion snapper fishing have been great especially since dredge operation has moved Out along with the dirty water it created since October. Going to be a good year already have quite a few trips in the book

Offshore in 100-120ft Red Grouper, Vermillion Snapper bite has been excellent! If you want to have fun after catching a few fish to eat the AmberJack fishing is great this time of year but out of season. A great way to finish up a trip getting your arms worn out! The Trout and Redfish are moving from the backs of creeks to the flats catching on soft plastic baits with a popping cork , and top water is just starting to get bites.

We loved fishing with Captain Dwayne. 2nd year we have been with him and he’s amazing, between finding the best place to catch and baiting our boys, we had the best time!

    Trip: Half Day Fishing Apalachicola

We were originally booked for a 7am trip but Brock let us know it would be better to wait a little later. We ended up going around 3. The weather was great. Brock put us on some red fish and my son also caught a sting ray. We ended up with several keepers and can't wait to fry them up!! Brock was so helpful to the ladies on baiting their hook and casting out for them. Can't wait to go again!!

Our trip was great. Jared was top notch on everything. We will definitely book with him on our next trip here. Absolutely the best charter we have been on. We caught a lot of fish and plenty of keepers to take back for a great meal.

Duane was amazing! My husband and Friend had such a great time. They really didn't know what to expect and how much fish they were going to catch, but their minds were blown! I think they caught over 15 fish! Dwayne was very knowledgeable about where to find the fish what kind they were the sizing, etc. They had a great time, great value for the money! Highly highly recommend using this service.
