I booked this trip mainly for my 12 and 15 year old grandsons to experience. Max was an excellent guide and really made sure the boys had a great time and caught lots of fish. I would definitely book with Max for future trips.

We had a great 4hr trip with Capt Max. Was a first time for my wife and daughter and they both were able to catch a lot of fish. We caught so many different types of fish and able to keep some grouper and trigger fish. Max is a friendly captain and we would definitely go out with him again.

My wife and I could not have asked for a better guide. Captain Max and his deckhand, Jacob, were exceptionally personable, knowledgeable, and truly made our experience a priority. From the moment we stepped on board, they made us feel welcome and comfortable, taking the time to tailor the trip to what we wanted most. The Redfish are on fire right now. We've had consistent enough weather to pattern the fish, and the water is warming up enough to keep them active. Topwater plugs is my favorite way to target these fish right now, but I'll also use swim baits and jigs. The Red Grouper bite was on fire this last week with the couple of good weather days we had, and the Vermilion Snapper and Triggerfish have been consistent all month. Red Snapper and Amberjack are easy to find, but until their season, we'll keep targeting other species. Spanish Mackerel are starting to get caught in the bay, but I expect it to be April 1st before the bite fires off.
