Launched out of Golden Meadow, Louisiana to target redfish. We fished the marsh hitting points. Didn't have much luck. So I changed tactics to look for deeper moving water with structure. We free lined live minnows into the structure and pulled out 25 redfish. All redfish caught 16" to 27".
Day 2 of the trip we decided to go after some bull reds. So we cast netted live mullet then traveled to the mouth of a deep cut that empties into Lake Raccourcie. Used cut mullet on bottom and caught 5 bull reds and a few bull sharks. After half...

Day 2 of the trip we decided to go after some bull reds. So we cast netted live mullet then traveled to the mouth of a deep cut that empties into Lake Raccourcie. Used cut mullet on bottom and caught 5 bull reds and a few bull sharks. After half of the day spent on fighting bulls we decided to head back to the spot we caught and released all the slot redfish the day before. We showed up and found the slot reds right where we left them.
Launching out of Golden Meadow, Louisiana. Back to back charters. Both groups agreed to go target some redfish, so we loaded up the boat and embarked on our journey. Started fishing dead shrimp 26" under a four horseman cork. Working oyster beds and old camps. Both groups made quick work, bringing in redfish after redfish. On both trips, we had our state allowed limits at 10 am. We would then work more old camps along Grand Bayou Blue catching sheepshead and reds. Once the bite stops at one location, we would switch from popping cork to free line. Free line...

Once the bite stops at one location, we would switch from popping cork to free line. Free line would give us an opportunity to get lower in the water column where more fish would be. Most of our redfish were 16"-18" (perfect eating size). Both groups left happy and excited for their next marsh adventure!
The trout fishing around Grand Isle has entered our typical summer time pattern. Large trout can usually be found near our beaches when Mother Nature cooperates while larger numbers of smaller trout can be found on many of our inland reefs. Like everywhere else in the SE, it's getting hot as the sun rises so it's best to try to get it done early then seek out the A/C and a cold pop.

We had a great time out with these guys. Hit a 2 man limit on drum on top of redfish and other species. Got to see a ton of wildlife. Very accommodating and knowledgeable about the area. Would highly recommend.
I had a great time with Ronald. He was a joy to fish with. My bucket list was to get a Red fish and a Speckled trout and we were complete on the list. THANKS
Ryan was very welcoming with us and accommodating to us. He kept us fishing in some windy waters and was patient with the mistakes made due to the wind. We caught some redfish and some drum to fillet out. Will definitely book another trip with Ryan.
Mark did a great job and knows the area well. I brought my 3 boys (7, 10, 15) and Mark was patient, hospitable, knowledgeable, prepared and hard working. We caught a variety of species and had a great time. We would go back again with Mark!
Captain Ron was an amazing guide. He was funny and joked with us the whole time and he made it seem like he was a friend taking us to fish rather than a random guy who has a boat. We had two boats for the trip and there is not one negative thing to say about either guide. I’d tell anyone to book with Ron if they were fishing in Louisiana 10/10 times.
Great experience! My friend and I had never gone fishing before, and he was very patient and willing for help us learn. We had so much fun and are looking forward to our next trip.
Shrimping with Captain Daryl was an excellent experience. Daryl went out of his way to make sure we had an enjoyable experience. He provided us with everything we needed to catch the shrimp. This was a GREAT EXPERIENCE, Captain Daryl is top notch and I highly recommend using him for your future trips.
