Bluefish are starting to show up.
Water is moving up, it's around 64-67 right now which will get more fish moving in. Never know what you're goin to catch this time of year while everyone's waiting on bonito!

We competed in Georgetown SC and brought home a 2nd place finish and last week I did a seminar for Salt Strong. Here at home the fish are ganged up and waiting for you to come on out and catch them. My young men on the boat yesterday landed 15 or so. Our fish are coming on MirrOlure topwater plugs, Saltwater Assassin plastics fished under 4Horsemen popping corks, Saltwater Assassin plastics fished weedless with Pro-Cure Bait Scents and the trusty old gold spoon. I have days available this week and the rest of March.

It's been a pretty brutal winter this year weather wise. The redfish bite has been strong and my crew landed 19 this morning. Going into the snow event we had a couple 50+ redfish days. Those weather events moved the fish around a little bit they are getting back to their normal routines and haunts for wintertime. We are sightfishing large schools and catching them on a variety of Saltwater Assassin plastics fished with Pro-Cure Bait Scents.

Black drum, black Sea Bass, tautog and skinny water reds. That's what's up for this month.
All areas for sea bass, tautog & black drum less than 60' of water and deeper structure for black drum. Have you done shrimp and squid wing. Sea Bass on 2oz bucktails and black drum on 1/2 oz jigheads.
Redfish in the skinny, sightfishing with fly or light tackle. Tact is key.

We are still seeing an excellent speckled trout bite, but are also having some incredible black drum fishing when the wind allows us to get out to the jetties. Also catching some really nice striped bass on our speckled trout trips.

NC's world-class Cape Lookout False Albacore Season officially ended strong!
They're still out there and will be on and off throughout the winter months.
But we'll transition to sightfishing slot Redfish, backwater speckled trout, and riding the ocean for Trophy-sized Redfish.

We had the absolute best time ever. We got out there and went straight at it. Whether it was catching blues, Spanish and even sharks. It was amazing. If you’re looking to have the best experience fishing, this is your guy. We come every year here, this was our first time doing a charter. Needless to say we will be doing one with captain 🧑‍✈️ Jeff every single year from here on out.

Trey was priceless in helping us out in a pinch! We had scheduled our company trip with another fishing charter, who ended up canceling on us last minute. Trey went above and beyond to help us find another charter in time! Our experience with Captain Shane out of Morehead NC was absolutely outstanding! They took care of us in every way making sure we all had an exciting day catching all kinds of fish and getting it all ready to take home with us. We will definitely use Trey with Captain Experience when booking our next Charter! Thank you Trey for your attention to our unique situation, we wouldn’t have pulled it off without you! Shane was my captain for a 3 hour saltwater farewell. The overall experience could not have been any better. Shane was easy to be with and very considerate. His boat was comfortable and clean. I was impressed with how important it was to Shane to learn about my family member being honored. By talking about my mom's life and the area, we were able to choose a meaningful place to release the biodegradable urn. I highly recommend Shane for a saltwater farewell and I bet he is a lot of fun to fish with!

Inshore fishing trip with Capt Jack was top notch! Hooked up within the first 5 mins of our lines in the water. Teenage son had a blast. Usually catch and release but decided to keep our limit on the Red Drum. Capt Jack did a nice job filleting them out and sent us on our way with our fresh fish on ice and even some grilling tips which we followed the next evening. Pleasant, professional, and personable. Thanks Jack!
