Fishing Report: Captain Michael. 12/1/23. The bay fishing has been producing some nice solid fish. Redfish are moving out along grass flats and are hitting fresh cut bait and lures. If lure fishing throw lures that resemble the same colors that match the real bait. Match the hatch color schemes. Fish will start off in deeper water and move into shallower adjacent water as temperatures rise. Speckled trout are hanging along deeper water drop offs. Larger soft plastic in the winter are a good choice. Sheepshead fishing should turn on sometime soon. This is also a good time to try...

Fishing Report: The bay fishing has been tougher lately than past years. Catching lots of speckled trout in the 16 inch range. September 1 the regulations are supposed to go back to old regulations of 5 per person and 15 inch minimum. Early September will be a good time to come down here to South Padre and catch speckled trout on artificial plastics. Catching some redfish in deeper water on fresh cut bait. Black drum are moving up the channels and deeper water.
