Fishing has been great lately in the bayous and marsh with the recent warmer weather. We have been using live shrimp under popping corks targeting the reefs and ledges along deeper water. Should only get better as we go into spring and early summer.

Fishing for reds drum and sheep head have been fantastic. The last couple of weeks the trout are just now moving in and the trout bite is picking up.
Bay waters are warming up surf is turning green. It's time to go fishing.

Fishing is red hot in Galveston bay. Catching specks, redfish, flounders, drums and sheepheads. The water temperature is 68 degrees. Use live shrimp over shell and rock. With a full moon it's an early bite. Now the time to go while the kids out of school for spring break. Thanks Captain Mike

Last few trips have been mostly catch and release trips. Did not take a lot of pictures. Most days we are finding a good bite using artificial lures from the boat. Some days it takes time for the bite to materialize. Recent weather patterns are indicating an early spring. Water temperature have already reached mid 70 degrees. The shad spawn has already begun. So we will be using smaller baits to get our bites for the next 30days or so. Popping cork and shrimp will also become an effective method for catching fish.

Sheepshead season in full swing! Catching these "bay snappers" mostly on live shrimp and as we get to late February into March and April these fish will be bigger and even more plentiful

The backwater is holding lots of redfish, some trout and some large sheepsheads. We’re using live shrimp fishing 4 to 6 feet deep along rocks. Spring Break is right around the corner, it’s time to get your kids outdoors!

Jay made our fishing trip by far the best guided experience I have ever been on. We will for sure be booking another trip with him. If you are looking book a guided bay trip, I would recommend anyone to book with Jay.
First time fishing with Captain Jay and what a great trip! Probably the most fish I have ever caught on a single trip. He was extremely knowledgeable and a blast to fish with.
Fished under birds and caught back to back Trout all morning that were just undersized. Jay knew we wanted keepers so we kept fishing till we got on a sand Trout honey hole. Captain Jay was kind enough to extend our trip so we could keep filling the ice chest.
Thank you Cap! Look forward to our next trip with you.
Hey folks, I wanted to give a review for my time fishing with Captain Chris in Galveston West Bay. Fishing overall was tough due to some wicked calm conditions during the October Super Moon. Capt. Chris went above and beyond to put us on fish. He is truly a gifted guide, who balances fishing conditions and personalities together, a rare find indeed.
Jay was awesome!!! We had a great time with Jay, he was very knowledgeable, great guy to be on the water with. Learned a lot and look forward to our next trip.
