Bite is hot! This is the time of year for big snook and reds. I have also been getting on lots of keeper snook as well. To add to that the keeper black drum, trout and sheepsheads bite is on point right now. Whether you're looking to fill the cooler or catch a fish of a lifetime book today!

Water clarity is down, so redfishing has slowed a bit, but still seeing quite a few tails. The snook bite has picked up and some juvy tarpon are starting to move in

Ponce inlet and New Smyrna Beach, still seeing a few Bull Reds in the inlet with some nice snook and Tarpon beginning to show on the evening charters. We offer a seasonal 3 hr. Evening trip where we target snook and Tarpon around the causeways in New Smyrna Beach. Water levels are up a bit and sight fishing has been fair in the north part of the lagoon. This is the option you want if you wish to tangle with the red or black drum on fly.

As the winter fades away unfortunately so do the schools of red fish. With the water Temps rising the fish will start scattering around the bank lines and mangroves. This time of year I call the transition period. So we throw paddle tails pop n corks with live shrimp top water plugs and multiple artificial baits along banks. Also live mullet and chunck mullet or lady fish.

Mosquito Lagoon has continued to produce good quantities of slot reds along with an occasional Bull. But these recent fu moon phases have been key in bringing the gator Trout up on the flats to spawn. Two days ago we had 8 trout between 20 and 25". Largest for the year so far has been 29". This will continue through June. In the Ponce Inlet area still seeing good quantities of sheepshead and flounder with regular hookups of bull reds and black drum. The winter bite has been consistent, good numbers of sheepshead, whiting and weakfish have been keeping customers busy, weather in the mornings has been a bit cool by our Florida standards and picking the spots to fish in the wind can be challenging this time of year but overall it has been a good last 10 days

The snook bite has been really good the last couple of weeks with the warm weather. The water has been gin clear with lots of schooling reds and trout. The potential for a solid inshore slam is daily

Adam (Capt Mac) knows where the fish are. Very much enjoyed the fishing experience with him and would charter with him next time we are in town!

Matt was great. The crew managed to not only we engage positively with our 4-person party, but Matt ensured that our daughters had fun throughout. He left the course mainly up to us, since we had 2 younger children with us. I'll definitely come back to this charter service!

Five stars warranted. Skilled and personable captain with nice boat and gear, plus the requisite “local knowledge.” Did a half day with trip tailored by the captain to match our specific inshore interests and to maximize fishing time. Had continuous action, and it was fun to see my daughter catch a nice mixed bag of fish species she hadn’t seen. Highly recommend Captain Matt.
