The last couple weeks have been pretty productive despite the heat. Lots of big trout can still be found when the winds die down to fish the open bay. The rest of August looks very good and the fishing should continue to get better as we get some rain.

The Dog Days of Summer
What can be said, it is HOT!, the weather that is. Catching redish and trout freelining live shrimp or croaker along the rocks. If you move away from the jetties out on the beach front its sharks aplenty with cut bait.
As we move thru August and into September the over sized Red drum (Bull Reds) will start showing in the channel and surf. Have to get out early and get it done.

Fishing has still been good mainly focusing on artificial in Galveston West Bay. Mainly Flounder and Trout with a couple Redfish each trip. Live bait has been gods in North Galveston Bay

We had an incredible day on the water with Captain Troy From start to finish, this fishing trip exceeded all expectations. The captain was knowledgeable, friendly, and made sure everyone felt comfortable. The boat was well-equipped, and safety was clearly a top priority. We were taken to some fantastic spots where the fish were biting almost instantly. The Captain even handled all the cleaning of our catch so we could just relax and enjoy the day. On top of the fishing, the scenery was stunning—calm waters, clear skies, and even a few dolphin sightings along the way. It was the perfect mix of adventure and relaxation. We left with fresh fish, great memories, and plans to book again soon. Captain Troy's nursing background really helped ease any motion sickness worries and calm first-time nerves, my son is 7 and he had a blast! Took my 5-year-old son, my nephew, and his dad out with Capt. Troy, and let me just say—it was a blast from start to finish! Rods were bending left and right as we reeled in sand bass, black drum, a couple of sting rays, and some croaker. The kids were grinning ear to ear the whole time! Capt. Troy was patient, fun, and made sure everyone—especially the little ones—had a great experience. Nothing better than watching your kid hook into a fish and yell, “I got one!” over and over again. It was good times, great memories, and an all-around awesome day on the water. Highly recommend booking a trip with him if you’re looking for a fun family adventure!
