The moving bait bite has been on fire recently. Catching them out of grass that tops out anywhere between 8-3 feet deep on cranks and swimjigs.

Lake Travis: Name of the game right now is just find the right spot! The fishing can be slow until you find the right spot right now. Tough to find a repeatable pattern, but when you find the right little spot, it can be lights out! We are doing the best on steeper banks / offshore ledges with a drop shot rigged finesse worm. Fish quickly and cover water until you get a bite or two and then slow way down to see how many fish may be there!

Fishing conditions have gotten tough to say the least! But if you are patient and focused... some big ones can be caught. Water levels are looking pretty good at the moment in the rivers in my area. Tons of hydrilla built up in the middle of the streams causing fish to move in and out of freely as they please... so patience in these areas are needed. But, due to this the fish are extremely spooky once they come out of these weeds. Water clarity is second to none at the moment though, and it has been interesting to see...

Water clarity is second to none at the moment though, and it has been interesting to see the river bottoms in those deeper pools. You definitely want to move about the banks and rivers like "Yoda"... and hover if you can haha. But, by being sneaky, quiet, and precise with your casting can be a massive game changer that calls for post fishing reward beers!

Lake Austin - It seems to be fishing pretty well right now with the cooling weather. We have done well recently by using a jig w/ a double tail grub as a trailer around shallow wood cover. We've also done well in these same areas with a hollow body frog.

We are doing well catching huge numbers of bass putting 50-80 bass in the boat each trip. We are targeting large schools of nomadic offshore bass that are suspended over 30-100 ft of water. Small soft plastic jerkbaits are the ticket!

Great day on the water with Ander and my friend Vance. I got to keep two of the bigger fish that I caught to eat! They tasted great with some blackening spices and butter. I'll recommend Ander to anyone looking to have a wonderful time fishing!
