Well the season is finally starting to heat up. Through March and April you can expect a hot sheepshead bite. We have been catching tank sheepshead and redfish regularly fishing structure and the jetties on our inshore areas. The Spanish Mackerel have moved inside to the pass and inner bay areas for a great opportunity to pick them up on an inshore troll.
offshore the fishing has been spectacular with various catches of keeper Triggerfish, vermillion snappers, and seabass. Red snappers are abundant, however, they are catch and release at this time. We have picked up some great catches trolling baits to include Wahoo, and some heavy fighting amberjacks.
Although the water temps are cooler than normal, when you can find a good temperature break, you can expect some great hookups. As we progress through April, we look forward to warmer water temps and the fish to get more active.
April and May are some of the best times to fish in the Pensacola area as there are numerous opportunities to catch quality offshore action.
No matter what you choose, inshore or offshore, the action is hot and you will enjoy fishing with us!

Sharks and wicked thunderstorms are reining terror on the gulf coast. Vermillion snapper bite is great. Some king mackerel getting caught close as well. Red snapper are plentiful enough to catch a few but the bite is not on fire

Well it's the end of September and fishing has been outstanding. There is a variety of species still being caught offshore. Snappers, triggerfish, Mackeral, and Mahi are still actively chasing baits. Stopping to sabiki for live sardines and cigar minnows has been effective for targeting those offshore species. We can expect as the waters continue to cool down to see a slower bite as those big fish move further out. Therefore, bouncing around from spot to spot seems to be the key to pick up those big ones still lurking around.
Inshore, the mangrove snapper and sharks are still plentiful on the bridges in the bays and any structure you can find. The big bull reds are starting to push inshore and we look forward to targeting those big schools as we progress into October and November.
There is still plenty of fish to be caught so don't put up those rods yet and let's get out there for some great fall saltwater action.

The past month has been absolutely on fire. Finding live bait such as cigar minnows and scaled sardines, along with squirrel fish have been the keys to getting limits. Dropping a Carolina rig with 30-50 lbs leader and 3-6 oz weights depending on the current has been the key to success. Can't find the live bait schools, no worries chum up the water real good and drop frozen cigar minnows and you should still pick up a few. If snapper is not in play, no need to worry, schools of Mahi have been swarming the deeper wrecks and you always have a chance to pull in a nice king Mackeral or some skip jacks on the troll. Amberjack season is opening up August 1st so get those poppers and plugs ready and hold on when those big AJ's start busting them.

We never fished Florida before so we hooked up with Capt. Jake so he could show us around, he was amazing! We started out with lures, did a little jigging and finished with some live bait. He knows every hole and structure in the bay. We caught redfish, sea trout, mangrove, snapper and king mackerel. Can’t wait for the next vacation, will definitely be calling him again. I would recommend him to anyone that’s looking for an exciting day on the water.
