We've had an excellent Kingfish bite on the reef with some sailfish also snapping well when we are able to head off shore on longer trips. We are able to find mahi-mahi wahoo and a few blackfin tuna mixed in looking for offshore paligics Please book a three-quarter day.

Kite season is here! The water has cooled down as well as the air temp making ideal fishing conditions. Combine this with the prevalent East wind pushing debris and the Pelagic fish close to shore. The Sailfish have started to show up as well as the big smoker Kings. There have been random Dolphin close to shore with the occasional Blackfin Tuna in 200-350'. Bonita Tuna have been plentiful in shallow around 50'. The Cudas are everywhere out to 400' and we have been getting them deep on live baits. We are still getting Goliath Grouper bites although we haven't...

We are still getting Goliath Grouper bites although we haven't landed one in two weeks. We fought one for 2 and a half hours the other night only to get cut off on the shipwreck. Big Bull Sharks have been around, we released 4 last week up to 400 pounds. I love this time of year, it's not hot, it's not cold, the Pelagic fish are close to shore and next month the Swordfish bite is gonna get hot. Swordfish can be caught year round but the best time is October through February, I can't wait! We still have a couple openings for the rest of the week and weekend. Let's catch a Monster!

These acrobatic fish are prized for their fighting ability and are released after being caught to preserve the population and due to conservation has been continually growing.
Sailfish are
abundant in Fort Lauderdale’s waters January through May. This is when the sailfish migrate through the area in large numbers. Sailfish tent to congregate near underwater structures, reefs, drop-offs, and current edges. We catch sailfish in water depths ranging from 100 to 300feet, where sailfish are known to feed. Of course we catch them in shallower water and out many miles in the very deep water, however the sweet spot is from 100-300. Trolling is an effective method for targeting sailfish using rigged ballyhoo, mullet, or strip baits. Troll these baits behind the boat at varying depths and distances until you get a strike.
Kite fishing and live baits are highly effective and one of the most popular methods. Popular choices include goggle eye, pilchards, blue runners and herring.
Many anglers use teasers which are artificial or natural baits rigged to attract sailfish to the surface.

We had a great trip and caught lots of Mahi. The Mate stayed busy keeping the sea weed off the lures but the seaweed held lots of Mahi. We caught over 25 fish with 20 keepers over 20”. It was large seas but the captain kept us in fish all day. Just finished a meal of Grilled Mahi with Old Floridian Seasoning and Cilantro Salsa. Thanks!
