Good Morning, Spring is here and fish are starting to show up. We have been catching a lot of sea mullet & Gray trout or called Weakfish this first week of April. Spanish mackerel & Atlantic Bonito should be showing up by next week.

Spring temps have fish moving in from offshore. Inshore jigging can produce grey trout, bluefish, puffers, and sheepshead. Inshore red drum are schooled up in the marshes, casting artificials has been the most effective method

Sheepshead, black drum, and blue fish are on the jetties, with grey trout and sea mullet starting to show up in the inlet. Reds are schooled up inside,
Water is getting warmer every day looking like a great spring

Weather has been pretty good for the most part, super clear water, really fun to sight fish, chasing reds in shallows, and bottom fishing jetty's for black drum and sheepshead. March should be great!

Nearshore bite for fall has been off to a solid start.
False Albacore, and really nice bluefish in topwater plugs with a consistent King Mackerel bite. Grey Trout and whiting showing up good work Spanish Mackerel still around perhaps for the next few weeks. Backwater bite is hot as well work good numbers of shrimp around Redfish have been plentiful with more and more Speckled Trout showing up each week. Lots of good quality fishing. It's really shaping up to be a great fall bite.

Fishing has been really good out of the Morehead area. Inshore red drum have been loading up on shrimp, watching them bust working down the banks has been a lot of fun, mix in black drum and speckled trout with them. Near shore 1-3 lb bluefish, Spanish, and false albacore have been blitzing up and down the beach. Albacore aren't much table fare in my opinion but a damn good fight on light tackle! Bottom fishing is producing some spots, grey trout, hogfish, and puffers with the water temps getting cooler

I’m an experienced fisherman who wanted to become better at targeting red drum and trout. Joe not only put me in fish, but taught me things about fishing that area that will help me catch fish on my own for years to come. Highly recommend!
We had an awesome time with capt. Joe. He worked extremely hard to put us on the fish. Water conditions weren't to our favor, But we will be back next year. Can't wait to fish with our new found friend again. And have another great day on the water. ☆☆☆☆☆
