A steady school of sheepshead and redfish have been biting out by the jetties. We are catching limits of beautiful size sheepshead and chasing schools of big ole' bull redfish. I'm finding schools of fish using Garmin live scope. Live shrimp dropped into their face and you've got a bite! I am crushing the big sheep head. They finally showed up an SPID give me a call if you wanna go catching not fishing.

The past week has been a decent one. Catching both speckled trout and redfish on soft plastics. Actually limited on speckled trout on every am trip last week on soft plastics. Larger swim baits have been my go too. Darker and natural mullet colors are both producing strikes. The tides are extremely low in the morning and fluxing in hard towards the afternoon. Catching redfish on the windier days especially in the afternoon as the tides push in. Schools of black drum are popping up in deeper water transitions. Expect the bite to remain solid as long as weather remains...

Winter time fishing has been solid throughout the south Padre Island area. Snook and large trout remain plentiful in the Brownsville ship channel. Many of my trips have been with less experienced anglers and we have been focusing on speckled trout in deeper water with great success. The wonderful thing about being this far south is that "winter "means the temperature dropped into the 60s with highs near 80s during the day. Of course we get a cold front or two that slows fishing For a day as the front passes but the weather warms right back up quickly. Red...

Of course we get a cold front or two that slows fishing For a day as the front passes but the weather warms right back up quickly. Red fishing has been consistent with top water action along with soft plastics being the ticket. Find the bait and the fish are there with them. Fly fishing trips have been outstanding during the extreme low tides that we have. Fish become concentrated and wafing for tailing red fish has been the name of the game. Fishing will remain consistent and only get better as spring progresses.

Redfish and sheep head are biting in South Padre Island; Do you wanna get in on this bite? Book a trip and let's go fishing. We're catching multiple oversize reds anywhere from 28 inches to 40.

Big fish are always fun and exciting to catch, most people fish to catch some fish for dinner, but there are always trophy hunter out there, people post big fish, but they are kinda rare, although there are days when it's magical, The stars align and BAM you fill the boat, like when Jesus said....throw your nets over the side, it's amazing when people have faith and passion And confidence....it just happens, I've seen it not once but many times when people are Confident,, they catch, the negative don't , so my advice is come and have a great attitude...

First week of aug. fishing the shrimpboats were dragging in 50 fathom. Too many bonita to get a bite from a blackfin tuna so we pulled the hooks off the lures. Everything was working great. Wait for the blackfin, stop throw bait. Started trolling again theres the bonita then the blackfin then out of nowhere 3 of the biggest Yellowfin tuna came up and pushed everything out of the way. I ran downstairs and grabbed the biggest reel and bait we had. Instant hook up. 4 hours later in the boat. 215 pound yellowfin tuna.

On days off we still fish!! We went down the beach with family and friends on Saturday in hopes of seeing a big tiger and we did just that! When the rod slacked up and started to slow roll I immediately turned to one of my clients who happened to be in town on a job and was hanging out with us! Him and his crew have been on many trips with me but they’ve been plagued by blacktips and bulls so this was the fish he’s been after! Kevin did a great job fighting this fish from the harness...

Kevin did a great job fighting this fish from the harness from start to finish and made quick work of her! Once on the beach we were able to get a quick measurement and taped her out at 12’2”, an absolute beast of a tiger!!

My Dad and I had a great day of fishing. Although there was rain around Captain Romey was able to put us on some fish while avoiding the rain. We were fortunate enough to land a 40 inch Red on light tackle which was the CHERRY on top of this day.

Jerry was on time and ready to go. He asked what we wanted to accomplish on the trip, was friendly, funny, and very professional. We caught a limit in two and half hours with the largest red fish 29 1/2 inches. This guy knows what he is doing and does it well.

Our day with Cliff was great. Our group was two dads with 2 seven year olds. The kids had the best time. They each caught a few fish and he was incredibly patient and kind with them as they learned. We will be back.
