Fishing has been pretty good, the weather has been perfect, light winds and cool breeze in the morning, been fishing top waters in the morning and past and also, still using live croaker depending on the client and customer ability. September is the lowest or least windy month of the year, next month is my favorite month of the year, a little cooler and No pressure from fisherman!! Book a trip to wade or fish out of the boat!

The bay fishing has been good throughout the past weeks. Catching speckled trout on both live and artificial baits. Especially in that Margarita Green Water they love so much. Redfish have been tougher lately but still hooking some solid reds when the wind kicks up. Snook are being caught on the south end of our bay system when the tides are active. It's a good time of the year to get the kids hooked up on some nice fish and create some lasting memories.

The bay fishing around South Padre has been good if you like catching redfish. The spring winds have been howling and are leading anglers out onto the flats in pursuit of the redfish or red drum. This time of year we have an influx of bait that migrates into the Lower Laguna Madre Bay System and the gamefish like redfish and speckled trout follow the bait. March has roared in like a lion with spring winds followed by a spectacular calm day or two for sight casting with a fly rod or spinning tackle. Windy days have been good on wind blown shorelines for Redfish on jigs and topwaters with the occasional trophy class Speckled Trout. The color change bite remains strong for school-sized Specks. Find the bait and you find the trout. The calm days have been spent on the skiff with shrimp pattern flies or fluke style baits presented for the taking. Redfish aplenty along with some tremendous trout showing us their back sides!...
