Fishing has been getting better and better with the water temperatures coming down after summer. Good numbers of Redfish, Trout, Flounder, Eating sized Black Drum, and even Sheepshead have been coming in. We have been fishing both Upper Galveston Bay and West Galveston Bay.

The Galveston jetties lots of sharks, sheep heads, a few trout and redfish. Upper Galveston Bay water is around 87 degrees need to fish deep for fish. West bay good for specks with live croakers. Overall fishing is fair.

Trinity bay Temps are high 80s. Alot of fish are deep and hungry. Small trout and skipjacks are running the shallows on incoming tides. Reds are staying deep in channels and deep reefs. Black drum are everywhere, with sheepshead mixed in with them. The go-to bait are live shrimp and fresh dead shrimp on popping cork, artifical and also bottom rigs.

Fishing in trinity bay has been great with quick limits. Reef, rocks, and structures have been holding fish. Reds, Trout, Blackdrum have been biting prominently on shrimp under cork and with good tide movement on bottom rigs. Sheepshead have been of good size hitting on shrimp as well. Tons of bait moving around the bay system. This weekend between the bad weather should be great fishing with the waters cooling down a little.

Galveston, TX July 9th
In this weeks fishing report, we have a tale that will make you reel with laughter! The weather was scorching hot, and so were the catches out on the water. Offshore, the red snapper were putting on quite the show, flaunting their vibrant colors.
Meanwhile, inshore, the big black drum were strutting their stuff like they were auditioning for a fishy fashion show. These drummers had rhythm, and they weren't afraid to shake their tail fins to the beat of the ocean.

But wait, the excitement didn't stop there. Sharks were crashing the party, doing their best impersonation of Jaws. They were the ultimate party crashers. It was a real-life thriller, and the fishermen couldn't help but hum the iconic "dun-dun" theme song as they reeled in their lines.
And let's not forget about the stingrays, the underwater pranksters of the sea. They were like stealthy ninjas, sneaking up on unsuspecting anglers and giving them a shocking surprise.
So, if you're looking for an adventure on the water. From diva snappers to dancing drummers, from shark scares to stingrays , it's a show that Mother Nature herself would applaud. Just remember to bring your sense of humor, and sunblock because you never know what surprises await you beneath the waves!

Out guide, Kevin, did an excellent job, and I would highly recommend him. There were four of us in our group including 2 experienced anglers, one semi experienced, and one who was very inexperienced. Kevin did a great job keeping everyone involved, baited, and altered approaches based on skill level. He worked very hard to put us on fish. He even cleaned our fish at the end of the trip. Again, I would higly recommend.
Do not hesitate to book your trip with GarZilla! Fantastic experience! Our guide, Randy, made our day one we will never forget and gave our 14 y/o son a memory he will be talking about well into adulthood.
