March and April have been great for the weather. We’ve been catching a large variety of fish and doing a lot of 3-hour play days with large family groups! Nothing but smiles and good times here.

Fishing has been good with shrimp and cut bait for reds. You can run into a bunch of sheep head right now too at the jetties and under the docks, when it's not blowing 30+ it's been good!

All I can say is this was a great trip. Alfonso worked his tail off trying to find some clear water in 20 to 25 mph winds but we managed to get 3 fish. Even with all the winds my wife and I loved the experience with Alfonso. You can tell his passion is fishing and teaching you all he knows about Flounder gigging. We will be using Alfonso again and hopefully less winds next time.

Fred took his time, confident in his technique, experienced in his teachings and didn’t seem to care of the clock regardless of how many fish were in the cooler. If you want to go fishing in south padre book anyone, if you want to go fishing and learn a thing or two, have good conversation and leave with something gained, book with Fred.
