It's been slow as far as customers, but when we are out there fishing has been great! We are catching reds, black drum and big trout. Popping cork fishing has tested us well on the drift 🎣🎣

the season just opened up down here in South Padre Island, and we had a fantastic day. We did an afternoon hunt. I had three hunters we shot our limit of redheads limit of blue bills and a couple buffalo head. I didn't take a lot of pictures today because we were a little busy, but I did get a bunch of GoPro footage that I'm still trying to download but we seen a ton of docs today. Weather was beautiful. It was 70° a little overcast and we had a nice light wind. The birds decoyed really well if you're interested in coming down to South Padre Island

With colder weather in northern states, the ducks are showing up here in South Texas. Today, I spent a couple of hours at one spot watching flock after flock fly by, and I got really excited. Our season opens back up for the second split on December 14. Since we already have ducks everywhere, January should be phenomenal for anyone wanting to come to Texas to shoot stud, pintails, and beautiful redheads, buffalo heads, and blue bills.

All I can say is this was a great trip. Alfonso worked his tail off trying to find some clear water in 20 to 25 mph winds but we managed to get 3 fish. Even with all the winds my wife and I loved the experience with Alfonso. You can tell his passion is fishing and teaching you all he knows about Flounder gigging. We will be using Alfonso again and hopefully less winds next time.
