Although my traditional fishing areas for this time of year aren't producing very well, I have found some other areas that are producing . Some customers are wanting to only catch redfish and I have been fortunate to locate some . Some customers have been wanting speckled trout. And some days they cooperate and we are able to get our limit early before it gets too hot. And some days we have to work for them. Speckled trout have been best on live croaker. And the redfish have been consistent on popping cork and shrimp.

The Red Snapper bite has been decent this year in 100 -200ft of water, and the King Mackerel bite is in full swing the past few weeks. Even a few stray Mahi every now and then.

Fishing remains consistent when the weather has made it possible to fish. Still plenty of trout in most spots, with the typical higher numbers of juvenile trout caught in summertime. Still finding trout in Galveston Bay suspended in 6' of water close to oysterbeds. We've been seeing plenty of redfish if the customers are willing to wade and/or pay extra for croaker as bait. Shrimp had yielded mostly undersized trout and unwanted by catch.

Fishing has been a bit slow with the weather we've had lately. Although the fishing seems to be getting better. I apologize for the late response, it's been a busy week.

Our Gigging trip was super fun.Captain Tim Woernley was very knowledgeable about flounder and their whereabouts, putting us on the meat within minutes!! Tim and his crew were very polite and accommodating helping us get our limits and clean our fish within 5hrs.Thanks again guys!!
Captain Lance is amazing! He knows the waters he fishes in and was very motivated for my group to catch fish and have a great time. He was not stingy with his gas either. If we weren't catching we moved until we did. And our rods always had bait, no matter what. He manages his boat like true professional.
Captain Lance is also a good man and easy to talk to. You will have a great time and catch fish.
Rodney was a great captain and we had an amazing time on our trip. Our group consisted of two individuals on the autism spectrum and my father with Alzheimer’s. He was patient, understanding and provided an amazing experience for our family! Highly recommended!
Leaf's Team put us on the fish! We got to limit on snapper, and everyone used their red drum tag. Awesome outfit all the way around! Boat was immaculate!
The trip was wonderful and Captain Richard was great and Brandon was excellent he showed us how we needed to board the boat. Once departing the dock he made sure everything was secured before leaving. Once we got to the fishing location prepared the equipment and baited the lines and handed over the equipment to fish. When we would catch a fish he would take it off the hook then measure the fish to make sure it was legal if not the fish was put back in water. When we departed the locations Brandon would make sure everything was secured before leaving back to dock. When we arrived the dock and got the boat Brandon would put the fish into a basket and handed it over to the Captain. Brandon would start his job in cleaning the whole boat front to rear and preparing it for the next charter. Once completed we talked about other charters s little, then we shook hands with Brandon and the Captain.
My son and I will be making a charter again and would like Brandon and the Captain to help us again.
Captain Leb is awesome great knowledge about the area we fished! Leb had us on fish the whole time! One of the best experiences I’ve had creating memories with my dad! Would recommend Captain Leb to everyone!
