Fishing in Gulf is great. And the bay fishing for goldfish has been quite good even on the two hour kids trips for our bay trip going after gulf fish like mango, snapper and flounder, and so forth is producing at least a good catch, if not better. I tend to angle towards the goldfish because they’re better eating, even when I’m going in the bay but if you want to go after the speckle trout and redfish, like the other, the guides I do are as good as they get, we’ve been doing quite well.

The bite has been slow trolling this week but bottom fishing is on fire! We have caught tile fish, snapper, AJs, almacos, triggers, white snapper and grouper! The seas have been rough 3 footers was our best day, most days 5 footers around 4/5 seconds and overcast! Hopefully some good weather is to come.

Fishing report from Joe C. in Jacksonville, Florida

They don't call it MAYport for no reason! Fishing the last few weeks has been off the chain. From inshore to offshore there really isn't anything that isn't biting. Playing the tide weather has been determining the target!

Inshore fishing has been awesome in the skiff. With cooling water fish have been stacked up in their usual winter time haunts. Black drum now moving with the schools of reds too for some bonus catches. Offshore black seabass fishing is off the chain on the short 4/6 hour trips. Mixed with vermillion snapper and triggerfish. On the extended 10/12 hour trips trigger fish is the name of the game for meat haul. If the goal is hero or 0 lots of big wahoos have been hitting the deck with the cold weather. As always plenty of mutton snappers and usual suspects to compliment the box. Let's go fishin!

It has been on absolutely fire down here in Venice Louisiana. The trout and reds are stacked up in the passes. Everyone who has fished here for the last month and a half can’t believe how great the fishing is.

Redfish madness The last few weeks on the water have been absolutely incredible. If I had to take a guess on how many red fish we caught in the last weeks I would say 250 to 300. Most of the fish we've caught have been in 3 foot or less of water on a popping cork and shrimp. A lot of the recent trips I've ran have had non-stop action from the first cast to the last one. If you want to come get in on some of this action book a trip and let's go make some memories!
