Spring time has shown up that the water temps are perfect, and the recent rain has helped us! We were on the fish like always, but this month has been epic!

Caught two Saturday..... mainly saw gar and carp. A few smallmouth buffalos. Not many hungry bass . But the carp are on right now and the clarity is super good. Flows seems around 60-120cfs and it gettin the mossy areas a breathe of fresh air. So wading looks like the move.

Bowfishing is still awesome in the winter time lots of big buffs out roaming around but trips are slower this time of year due to the cold unfortunately. But we're still on them if folks want to bare the elements

Fishing conditions have gotten tough to say the least! But if you are patient and focused... some big ones can be caught. Water levels are looking pretty good at the moment in the rivers in my area. Tons of hydrilla built up in the middle of the streams causing fish to move in and out of freely as they please... so patience in these areas are needed. But, due to this the fish are extremely spooky once they come out of these weeds. Water clarity is second to none at the moment though, and it has been interesting to see the river bottoms in those deeper pools. You definitely want to move about the banks and rivers like "Yoda"... and hover if you can haha. But, by being sneaky, quiet, and precise with your casting can be a massive game changer that calls for post fishing reward beers!

The fall fishing is one of my favorite times of the year. The weather feels amazing at night in Sep and Oct and the bigger fish are moving up in the shallow water to feed and get ready for a hard winter. We shoot some of our biggest fish of the year in these months every season.

Low water levels!! Very hot, and warm water... need to get out there early and late if your trying to get on some nice fish! With these low levels... means spookier fish, especially the carp. The sight casting as been second to none though. But, the difficulty has gone up immensely. Definitely need to being your A-game, patience, and a motivation to hook up with these elusive critters. The bite is there if you move about like Yoda. The cfs seems to be very low as well, so fish have been in pools here in central texas. But midday fishing is almost impossible right now.
