Gulf fishing- Gag grouper will close at the end of the month. Nice to get one in before then because as I've heard they will most likely not open back up next year or at least in April of next spring. Flounders are unfolding into fish boxes, but plenty around still. Scamp grouper and smaller tasty bottom fish still bitting and will be. Bay- Redfish, trout, some Spanish still lurking, big giant 40 lb black drum for fun fight, and pompano being the highlight.

Water is cooling down and the fishing is heating up. Trout bite has been great on the creek mouths. Look for the spotty bottom with kelp grass for you best results. A lot of slot size redfish and over slot are on the outer islands and also in the creek mouths Feeding on mud minnows and shrimp. Incoming tide has the best bite. Gag grouper are stacked up on the rocks in 5ft to 12ft of water.

Mangrove snapper, snook, redfish, trout, and gag grouper as the weather gets colder the gags are gonna fire off even more. Tell them to hurry up and book for a gag grouper cause the season is gonna be shorter next year and this is gonna be the last Dec we get to keep gags.

Redfish and grouper bite is still going strong

Fishing report from Christopher O. in Little River, South Carolina

The grouper are starting to moving in about 60 to 70 foot of water. We're catching a good mix of keepers and a few shorts on live pin fish and pogies. As for inshore most of the flounder are moving in from the reefs and there's a good amount of fish around the creek mouths and deeper channels. The best baits have been finger mullet or smaller pogies. Theres been a good push of redfish around the jetty rocks, grass flats and backwater creeks. We've been catching them on live shrimp, pogies, and finger mullet. As for trout it's been slim pickins the few we've been catching have been around the jetties and shell banks on live shrimp.

Fishing here in Santa Rosa beach is on fire right now. Offshore we are catching vermillion snapper, triggerfish, mangrove snapper, few kings and Spanish and some Mahi and black fin tuna around our fads offshore. Inshore is heating up with most catches being redfish and jack Crevalle, but we are still finding speckled trout, Spanish mackerel and mangrove snapper.

The fishing is awesome at the moment, minus the rain every day. If you don't mind getting wet , let's get some lines tight. Fish are already wet they don't mind as long as it's not lightning we're going. Redfish and snook are chewing if you're looking for that drag to scream . Along with tons of mangrove snapper and grunts to fill your cooler.
