Tripletail
Bite continues to heat up with climbing water temps. Flounder bite has been pretty consistent with decent fish in the 2-3lb range. Some triple tails are showing up in the river. Big, oversized redfish and some larger black drum have also been showing up regularly in good numbers.
Weather has been good at times windy a lot of the time but we are managing. Targeting sheepshead, redfish and trout inshore, days we are able to go a few miles offshore we are getting lane snapper, grunt, tripletail, red grouper and triggerfish.

Trout fishing has been good with most coming off plastics and catch 2000. Redfish are in the marsh over shell and off the points. The birds are starting to work in the mornings in Sabine Lake. Look for the bird action to really turn on when we get a good front that empties the marshes and pushes the shrimp out.

False Albacore, Mahi Mahi, Tripletail
This week the Triggerfish bite has been slow! Trolling has produced Bonita and some small wahoo! We have been able to locate the Mahi several times for a good solid bite! A few triple tail keepers have made it to the ice, as well as a few Almaco Jacks

Tripletail
Live bait is easy to catch now that summer vacation is over. Mahi, kingfish, snapper, sailfish, and wahoo are passing through. Mullet run right around the corner.

The fishing is awesome at the moment, minus the rain every day. If you don't mind getting wet , let's get some lines tight. Fish are already wet they don't mind as long as it's not lightning we're going. Redfish and snook are chewing if you're looking for that drag to scream . Along with tons of mangrove snapper and grunts to fill your cooler.

We are still catching mahi-mahi and some nice triple tails
The kingfish and mutton snapper fishing along with the black fin tuna will be getting better

Had my Oilmans group take 1st in the red fish division with a 8.4 pounds and 1st in the triple tail with 24.5 pounder
My other groups have been catching steady on shrimp under a popping cork. But the big bites have been coming from wading throwing top waters in the morning and moving out to deeper water in the afternoons
