Hop on board with Captain Philip and experience an action-packed day of fishing outside of Fort Walton Beach! A professional angler with a wealth of local knowledge, Captain Philip is more than familiar with the most productive fishing grounds in the area. His boat is Federally Permitted as well which means he is not restricted to fishing within 9 miles from shore. The ocean is your oyster when you board with Captain Philip!...Read More
On these 4, 6, or 8-hour adventures, you can expect to target Amberjack, Bonito, Cobia, Grouper, Kingfish, Shark, Red Snapper (when in season), Vermillion Snapper, and Triggerfish.
You’ll be fishing aboard Captain Philip's 33-foot Grrady White equipped with twin Yamaha 300's. This baby has plenty of comfortable seating, and plenty SunShades toward the Bow and Stern perfect for those really hot summer days out on the Gulf.
Captain Philip will provide all rods, reels, tackle, lures, and live bait. He will also clean and fillet your fish at the end of each trip. All you need to bring is food and drinks for the day (Capt. Philip will provide bottled water), a hat, sunscreen, a good pair of sunglasses, and some good company!
Captain Philip will only accept trips during the week if they are for the full day (8 hours).
Children are more than welcome on board, although please let Captain Philip know how many you are bringing and how old. He does not recommend bringing children under 5.
Captain Philip has been fishing his whole life from just 5 years old. He's fished for Striped Bass in Lake Cumberland, Kentucky, and in San Francisco Bay after he joined the military....Read More
Besides the Striped Bass in San Francisco, Captain Philip also fished for Salmon, Halibut, and Sturgeon. From there, he took U.S Army assignments in Washington State so he could fish for Steelhead Trout and King Salmon, and he went to Alaska to fish for King Salmon and "Barn Door" Halibut.
After stints in these locations, Captain Philip retired from Hawaii (after travelling the world for 28 years while in the U.S Army), where he fished for Mahi Mahi, Swordfish, Sailfish, and Marlin to name a few.
After traveling and fishing the world over, Captain Philip's absolute favorite is fishing from Destin Florida along the Emerald Coast of the Gulf of Mexico.
