About Your Guide

Captain Philip Rainey of Fishing DJ Charters has been fishing his whole life from just 5 years old. He's fished for Striped Bass in Lake Cumberland, Kentucky, and in San Francisco Bay after he joined the military.

Besides the Striped Bass in San Francisco, Captain Philip also fished for Salmon, Halibut, and Sturgeon. From there, he took U.S Army assignments in Washington State so he could fish for Steelhead Trout and King Salmon, and he went to Alaska to fish for King Salmon and "Barn Door" Halibut.

After stints in these locations, Captain Philip retired from Hawaii (after travelling the world for 28 years while in the U.S Army), where he fished for Mahi Mahi, Swordfish, Sailfish, and Marlin to name a few.

After traveling and fishing the world over, Captain Philip's absolute favorite is fishing from Destin Florida along the Emerald Coast of the Gulf of Mexico.
