Wayne has been fishing these local water for 20 years and has hundreds of honey holes (both reefs, wrecks, and live bottoms) up and down the nearshore waters around Destin. With only a 15-minute ride to the gulf, you can be tight on a fish in a matter of minutes. And you don't have to worry about wasting your time sitting over the same spot on this trip, if the fish aren't hot in one spot, you'll be hopping between reefs and wrecks working your way further from Destin throughout the day to find the best action.

He has been fishing in this area since 1973 when his dad was stationed at Eglin Air Force Base. Before becoming a captain, he worked as a chef for 35 years. His love for fishing began as a child while fishing offshore in the Gulf. He has a lot of experience in bottom fishing and trolling. Captain Wayne is also a skilled chef! He loves advising on how to cook it at home or recommending some of the best local restaurants to cook your catch.
