To hook these fish, you will be mostly fishing the inshore bays, mangrove islands, and flats at the mouth of the Steinhatchee River. These shallows are a perfect place to practice sightcasting to tailing trophy Reds, so bring your A-game. There is nothing more rewarding than spotting, stalking, and making a perfect cast to an unsuspecting fish. The rush of that hook set is an experience you won't soon forget. Mark and Bobbi are adept at teaching new fishermen these techniques, so whether you're a seasoned veteran looking for your next trophy or a beginner looking to learn the ropes, they will work their hardest to make sure you have the best possible experience out on the water!
You'll fish from the deck of a 26' Dek Kat —an ideal vessel for these waters. She's powered by a 200 HP Suzuki, so you'll be on fish in no time. Everything for your trip is included, but you're more than welcome to bring any of your own gear if you like. Otherwise, all you need to bring are your favorite snacks and drinks, and your Captains will take care of the rest!

About Your Guide
Captain Mark started out fishing bass tournaments in South Central Florida in his late teens. He fished primarily freshwater until the the last 18 years, when he made the switch to saltwater. Mark not only fishes the IFA, BBRC and Florida Pro Redfish tournament circuits, he was director for 2
... Read More of the 8 Xtreme Redfish divisions in the state of Florida. He gives his time and advice to numerous charity tournaments , such as “Reelin 4 Kids”, the “Gator Quarterback Touchdown Club”, and the Santa Fe High School “Raiders Slam” every year in the Big Bend area. When Mark is not fishing tournaments, you can still find him on the water taking his friends and family out. Mark enjoys the challenge and prefers to catch his redfish on artificial lures. He is an advocate of wildlife conservation and prefers catch and release whenever possible. Mark and his partner Ron were 2014 Ifa West Coast Division Champions and hope to repeat it again!
Captain Bobbi was raised up on the water running shrimp boats with her family since childhood. Born and raised in Crystal River, FL, she moved to Steinhatchee when she was 22 and started fishing. What started off as just some local tournaments soon turned into a career. After winning a few trophies and getting the fishing fever, she decided to get her Captain's license and join the industry. With the help of her husband, Mark, she is now a license Captain and professional charter operater. She enjoys being able to take people on to the water and show them what the Big Bend of Florida has to offer for fisherman and their families. We use a cashless autopay system. We'll send you a boarding pass, and on the day of the trip, your guide will scan your boarding pass to automatically transfer the remaining balance. The only cash needed is to tip your guide (we recommend 20%).

We had one of the best times out with Mark..He made sure we got on fish..showed us some tricks ti enhance the bite and were able to limit out on Red Fish and Trout…Great Guide…I would highly recommend him any time..0
