Captain Jason is a patient and fun-loving guide who loves guiding on the Clinch, Holston, and French Broad rivers. Jason has guided these areas for 20+ years but has lived and fished here his entire life.
Captain Jason offer full and half day trips for families and friends alike! Captain Jason usually targets Trout, Smallmouth bass, Striper, and the occasional Musky.
His boat is a 18ft Stealthcraft Powerdrifter Jet and can run in shallow water that very few other vessels can access. Captain Jason likes to fly fish but keeps his boat loaded full of spinning and fly fishing gear. Jason realizes that not everyone wants to fly fish so he makes sure he can accommodate every angler at any skill set!
On this trip down the Clinch River, your guide Jason will help you spend a relaxing day float in His 16 foot Clacka Craft drift boat that is perfect for viewing all the wildlife and beautiful scenery. All fly fishing / spin fishing gear tackle is included. Be sure to bring sun glasses and a rain jacket if the weather calls . Jason keeps a cooler with water, ice and sports drinks. The cold water release below Norris Dam is Jason’s specialty . He is an expert at reading the ever changing river conditions and has a plan to catch fish no matter what. Whether you are an experienced angler or just learning the ropes, this trip will be fun for everyone! Up to 2 anglers can fit aboard the 16’ Clackacraft drift boat, plus Captain Jason. The vessel drifts calmly down the river, putting you right in the middle of some of the most beautiful scenery in East Tennessee. The French Broad River is great fishery that produces some nice fish. The section that has fish runs from Douglas dam all the way to Knoxville. This stretch of water offers great bass and walleye fishing. We typically fish for about 4 hours. If you are visiting the Gatlinburg /Pigeon Forge/ Sevierville area this stretch of river is a great choice. Read More
