It's hard to review these types of trips a lot of factors go into this from weather, the way the fish bite etc. the trip was pretty straightforward nothing spectacular I was really bummed we did not catch a lot. Captain Mike was informative as a guide. The fish were just not cooperating that day so keep that in mind. I would suggest though if you aren't sure what the fish taste like to have him use different zip lock bags, he put all of ours in one bag and I'm not sure which fish is what now. For what we paid though I can say it was more affordable that most other guides make sure you bring cash though I also didn't know about the live bait which was 25.00 it said it on his website but not on captain experiences so luckily, I had cash on me, but it affected the tip I was going to leave him.

Mike is a very professional fishing captain who is willing to take the time to share his knowledge and experience to improve your fishing skills/experience. He works very hard to put you on fish and I highly recommend booking a trip with Mike.

Had a great morning on the water with Capt. Mike. While he was demonstrating the technique to use with croakers he managed to hook up and let me wife bring in an over slot sized bull redfish. Pretty impressive timing with that one! As our story continues we started fishing and chatting. While we were primarily fishing for speckled trout I mentioned I would really like to catch some flounder as well. Of course this means that I never got one but my wife got not 1 but 2!!! Anyway I guess that was ok since it was her birthday. Overall we caught 3 different keeper species and only had to deal with those pesky cat fish a couple time over 6 hours. Overall an A+ experience and look forward to doing this trip again.

Had a great day. Met Captain Mike with my 6 year old son at 5:30 am. He had us immediately on the fish. I think our first catch was on our first cast. He knew when to move the boat and where to go. We tried multiple spots and had some pretty good luck. We limited out on specs within about 2 hours. All in all it was a great day on the water.

Captain Mike kept us on fish throughout the day. He is clearly very knowledgeable and experienced with live bait fishing. The one critique we have is that he seemed to get irritated when the beginner fishermen on our trip made mistakes. However, he kept us moving to new spots every time the bite slowed down and gave us all the information we needed to successfully fish this area in the future. If you need a guide to chat with who is good with beginners, you might want to look elsewhere. If catching fish throughout the day is your main priority, Captain Mike is more than capable of making your trip a success.
