We were really looking forward to this trip. The coordination was perfect but when we got to the marina it was quite disorganized and confusing. The driver had to call someone to come to site and have us pay for our bait and licenses which we did not receive anything for and our credit card just shows the persons name, not the company. We then proceeded to the boat and two individuals greeted us. We were a family of four with no experience and nothing was explained to us. There was very limited communication throughout the six hours. At one point they stopped at a site to fish but that included the two of them fishing with nothing communicated to us. We were in rough waters waiting what felt like, to catch their own dinner. We finally had to ask to leave the area. When we came across whales and wanted to watch there was no option they continued to their destination. In the end we caught one tuna and two Maui mahi and were able to see and take a picture with two of them. Then the last they just threw in the cooler. From a safety perspective there was black smoking coming from the engine, no instruction of boat, no life jackets that we know of, etc. When we arrived back our transportation was waiting. Smoothest part of the process. Rather disappointing trip. Would not recommend for families or individuals first time. …
