Response from Jaime:
1) The person who called the driver to assist them is Felipe, who's in charge of check-in. If he's not there at the meeting point, it's because we also have more charters on the same day, and he's attending to other clients and boarding the boat.
2) The bait is already on board when you arrive; you just need to pay. The fishing licenses are sent as PDFs to the captain in case the navy
stops us, and he can show them to you. If we don't have licenses on board, it would result in a $7,000 USD fine, and we really don't want to be fined, especially not $20 USD per person.
3) I apologize if the crew's communication was slow. In this season, fishing is slow, and they focus a lot on catching fish to ensure customers leave happy, so they have to work hard.
4) We have all types of safety measures on board, like life jackets. To operate a charter, we need a special permit that requires having everything on board for any emergency.
5) If the plan was for fishing and not whale watching, it's because they knew the fishing had to be quick so you could catch something.
6) Remember, the charter boats are not new, but we do maintain them well.
We're glad our crew caught fish for you; that's the most important thing for us, and it's why you engage in this activity.
Thank you very much.
