Captain Roy has been fishing the Texas coast for over 30 years and worked on several private & tournament boats. He is licensed vessel captain by the United States Coast Guard and has extensive safety training. Growing up in New Orleans, Captain Roy used to fish the salt water on weekends. That’s where his passion for fishing started. After moving to the DFW area in 1980, he started guiding on Lake Tawakoni and has spent 10 years fishing for Hybrid and Striper. However, his love for salt water brought him to the South Padre Island area to guide for Red Snapper and other species that he grew up catching.
