Captain John has been passionate about fishing for as long as he can remember. After spending a lifetime on the water and developing a deep appreciation for the sport, he turned that passion into a profession in 2018 and began guiding anglers throughout Wisconsin's renowned rivers and lakes.

A dedicated fly fisherman, Captain John enjoys introducing newcomers to the sport just as much as helping experienced anglers refine their skills. His patient teaching style and enthusiasm for fly fishing make every trip both educational and enjoyable, whether you're learning the fundamentals of casting or fine-tuning advanced techniques.

Based in Omro, Wisconsin, Captain John guides anglers on the Wolf River, Fox River, Lake Poygan, and Lake Butte des Morts, targeting a variety of freshwater game fish including Bass, Trout, and Steelhead. He believes that fly fishing is about much more than catching fish—it's about understanding the water, appreciating the outdoors, and continuously learning with every cast.
