About Your Trip
Step into one of the most untouched and fish-rich regions in the world, where dense rainforest meets the open Pacific and the fishing is every bit as wild as the landscape around you
Darién Lodge is a remote, high-end base deep in the Colombian jungle, strategically positioned between multiple legendary fisheries that give you access to both inshore structure and offshore pelagic grounds year-round. This unique location allows you to target an incredible range of
species including Cubera Snapper, Roosterfish, Yellowfin and Bigeye Tuna, Dorado, Sailfish, and Black Marlin, often within the same trip depending on conditions and how you want to fish
This is a true multi-technique destination built for anglers who want to stay active and cover water. Expect to rotate through popping, jigging, and conventional methods, working everything from shallow reef structure and rocky points to open water where pelagics are feeding. The variety keeps every day fresh and allows you to tailor the experience to your preferred style of fishing
Your trip begins in Medellín, where hotel stays and transfers are included before flying to Bahía Solano. From there, the experience ramps up immediately with a half-day of fishing on your way to the lodge, lunch served onboard as you start your trip with rods bent and your first look at the fishery
Fishing schedules are fully flexible, ranging from 2.5 to 10.5 days, giving you the ability to build the trip around your goals and energy level. This is a destination where many anglers end up extending their stay once they see the consistency and diversity of the fishing
You’ll be fishing from fully equipped boats accommodating up to 5 anglers, working productive zones alongside experienced bilingual guides who stay with you throughout the trip. Their local knowledge and adaptability play a key role in keeping you on fish across changing conditions
Back at the lodge, the experience shifts to comfort without losing the sense of remoteness. You’ll stay in boutique-style oceanfront accommodations with full meals, daily laundry service, and attentive hosting, all set against a backdrop of pristine rainforest and abundant wildlife
Every detail is handled—from flights and transfers to meals and guiding—so you can focus entirely on the fishing and the overall experience
This is more than just a fishing trip—it’s a remote, high-end expedition in one of the most preserved and least pressured environments on the planet
