Captain Collin has been fishing and hunting the waters of Port O’Connor for over 20 years, and has been a full-time resident of POC since 2008. He started guiding in 2012 after friends and family recognized his gift and passion for the outdoors.

Captain Collin is a licensed guide, and is also a licensed ship captain with a degree from Texas A&M in Marine Science. You can rest assured your inshore or offshore trip will be safe and professional, and Captain Collin will be sure to point out other marine species you come across while chasing Redfish, Speckled Trout, Flounder, Black Drum, Sheepshead, and more.

Captain Collin regularly fishes West Matagorda Bay, Espiritu Santo Bay, and San Antonio Bay. All rods, reels, bait & terminal tackle are provided, as well as all fuel, ice, bottled water, fish cleaning and bagging, and a cooler for your drinks and snacks.

About Your Trip

Whether you're an experienced duck hunter, or just getting into the sport, this South Texas duck hunt will be a "blast" for anyone. Your outfitter, Collin, has years of experience hunting the South Texas coast, and will put you right on the birds.

South Texas is dead-center in the Central Flyway, and is a stopover for dozens of migratory waterfowl. The sheltered bays here draw hundreds of thousands of ducks, including Green-Winged and Blue-Winged Teals, Cinnamon Teals, Wigeons, Redheads, Pintails, Gadwalls, and Mottled Ducks. You can target all of these species, which are exciting quarries and great eating.

Collin provides the boat (a 2013 GTO Airboat) and the decoys, so all you need to bring is your camoflauge, your guns, and your shells. You'll get out there before dawn, and hunt until 11 o'clock, so you can even be home for lunch! This trip can accommodate large groups, so invite your buddies!
