About Your Trip
Get ready for an unforgettable offshore fishing experience with Captain Robert on a Texas Coastal Adventure departing from Freeport, Texas. This full-day trip takes you and up to five guests into the productive waters of the Gulf of Mexico, where deep structure, reefs, and open bluewater channels hold some of the most sought-after gamefish on the Texas coast.
Once offshore, you’ll be targeting hard-fighting Gulf species including Red Snapper, Kingfish, and Amberjack. Red Snapper are
commonly found holding tight to reef structure and hard bottom, providing steady action and strong fights once hooked. Kingfish patrol the upper water column and are often encountered while trolling, striking fast-moving baits with explosive speed. Amberjack live up to their reputation as one of the toughest fighters in the Gulf, typically found around deeper rigs and structure where heavy tackle and strong arms are put to the test.
The trip uses a mix of proven offshore techniques including deep dropping, bottom fishing, and trolling, allowing the crew to adjust based on conditions and target the most active fish throughout the day. Whether dropping baits to reef systems or covering water with trolling spreads, the focus is always on keeping lines tight and action steady.
You’ll be fishing aboard a 60 foot Hatteras sportfisher designed for both comfort and capability offshore. The vessel features air conditioning, a full restroom, and Bluetooth sound, creating a comfortable ride even on longer runs into the Gulf. It is a stable, well-equipped platform that allows anglers of all experience levels to enjoy the offshore environment with confidence. Two Sea Keeper Gyros allow a comfortable ride and stationary fishing. Omni 8 Sonar for 360 degree fish finding, Ice Chipper for never ending Ice, and Water Maker for never ending fresh water.
All rods, reels, tackle, and gear are provided, and your catch will be cleaned at the end of the trip so you can take home fresh Gulf seafood. Guests are welcome to bring snacks and drinks, and beer is permitted onboard as long as it is not in glass containers.
