Captain Shawn runs charters departing daily out of Spanish Wells, Eleuthera and Harbour Island (extra transportation cost), snorkeling, swimming with the pigs, hand feeding the turtles, exploring sand dollar beach sandbank, starfish and stingray hunt, fishing, diving, cliff jumping, exploring an abundance of sea life, spearfishing and so much more. Each excursion can be customized to your liking!!
Head out with Captain Shawn for a laid-back--but productive--deepsea fishing experience aboard his 30 foot Sailfish. For these trips Captain Shawn will show you just how productive deepwater trolling these Caribean waters can be! Trolling trips are great because the boat and the knowledge of your captain do the "boring" part for you. You get to sit back, relax, and enjoy the sweet sea breeze with good company while you wait for the reel to start screaming! These trips can be extremely productive as well. If you get into a pod of Wahoo, Tuna, or Mahi, Captain Shawn will just keep circling back to catch more and more, until you've caught your limit or your arms get too tired. Though Wahoo, Tuna, and Mahi Mahi are some of the most frequent fish you'll see in these waters, there are plenty more species the deep can offer up! Captain Shawn will provide all the fishing gear for you including rods, reels, tackle, and artificial baits. Some of Shawn's clients prefer to troll with live bait, which he will gladly purchase for you ahead of time. For these deepsea trips, live bait usually costs between 200-300 dollars, so let us know if you'd like to add that on as well. Captain Shawn will gladly pick you up from anywhere on Spanish Wells, and will pick up in Eleuthera sometimes as well, but if you are staying in Harbour Island, he asks that you please ferry back over to Eleuthera where he can pick you up from the dock! Feel free to bring your bathing suite as well, Captain Shawn can bring his snorkel gear for you to use if you'd like to explore the reef yourself or simply explore the surf after you're done fishing. The world is truly your oyster aboard Captain Shawns 25' Pursuit. He will provide all the fishing gear for you including rods, reels, tackle, and artificial baits. Some of Shawn's clients prefer to use live bait, which he will gladly purchase for you ahead of time. For these reef trips, live bait can be an adittional cost so please bring cash along with you if you'd like to purchase some! This was truly one of the best charter experiences I've had in over 15 years of sportfishing. Since there is no land access to Spanish Wells, Shawn picked us up from the ferry port on the main island of N. Eleuthera. Capt. Shawn's boat is nothing short of a Rolls Royce on water. Shawn is the perfect guide. Quiet when you want him to be, but willing to share his decades of experience fishing in Spanish Wells when needed. We did an extended half day trip which got us to waters around 75 feet deep. The water is so clear here, you could see straight down to the bottom. We wore out some strawberry grouper, porgy, yellowtail snapper, and trigger fish all day. The highlight of the trip was when a pack of amberjack came right up under the boat. I grabbed the heaviest rod Shawn had and hooked a small porgy through the spine and dropped it down about 15 feet. This massive amberjack was toying with my bait for a few minutes right under my nose. Incredible adrenaline rush! He finally took it and instantly ripped out a couple hundred yards of line, reel absolutely screaming! Mr. Jack wore me out after about 15 minutes, and I passed the rod over to my buddy. We got him up to the boat but he was way too big for the net and he flopped out right on the gunwale. Didn't get a picture with him, but it was truly the fight of a lifetime. Another highlight of the trip, instead of taking us straight back to the marina to clean the fish, Shawn popped over to a huge shipwreck where we got out and snorkeled for a while. Then, he took us over to one of the dozens of gorgeous empty beaches that dot the area, dropped anchor, and cleaned the fish while we enjoyed the views, explored the beach, and threw a few back. Shawn was born and raised here, so you'd be hard pressed to find a fishing guide in Spanish Wells with more local knowledge. Everything about this trip was perfect, I would recommend it to any angler of any skill level. …
