Raised in Pass Christian, MS, I have been a lifelong outdoorsman. My love for fishing began on the bank of a pond, end of a pier, and rocks of a jetty. As soon as a boat came into the picture, fish inhabiting the Wolf River and Portage Bayou immediately became imperiled – especially once I was able to tow the boat to the launch myself! My highly supportive parents strongly encouraged I go to college, so off I went. I studied at Mississippi State University in the Wildlife, Fisheries, and Aquaculture program. Where else would a young person with a burning passion for the outdoors go? I completed my bachelors of science in 2020 and was accepted in the University of Southern Mississippi’s coastal science master’s program in the fall of the same year. This allowed me to be closer to the waters I loved and hone my skills as a fisherman and naturalist. After receiving my master’s degree in 2022, I accepted a Shrimp and Crab scientist position at the Mississippi Department of Marine Resources. This job afforded me the ability to represent the rich natural resources and diverse community of fishermen and women of Mississippi. I was provided the opportunity to be able to commit to full-time guiding in Spring of 2025. I am excited to share the coastal experiences I love with those seeking a taste of what the Mississippi gulf coast has to offer!
