Licensed to carry up to six passengers, he runs trips designed for anglers of all levels looking to experience the best of what the Gulf has to offer.

All trips include fishing licenses, rods, reels, and cut bait, with live bait available for purchase or caught in-season. Depending on the time of year, you’ll have the chance to chase down hard-fighting Amberjack, Cobia, Snapper, Mahi-Mahi, Wahoo, and even the occasional Sailfish. I am giving this review 3 stars because Darius, the guide that ended up taking us out was great. I feel he was put on a trip short notice and things were not within his control.
I originally booked this trip with Mike J. After booking with Mike J. I was contacted by Captain Experiences stating Mike J. wasn’t available but that other accommodations had been made and that Jim would be taking us out. I was then notified by Jim that Darius would be taking us out.
I was appreciative that we’d still be able to go out on the requested date. However, when I booked I owed $192 to reserve and the statement showed I would be charged $680 the day of the trip for a total of $872. The reservation was supposed to include all rods and reels, and it specifically stated that live bait was included in the charges.
The day of the trip I was charged $780, on top of my $$192 deposit for a total of $972. I was charged an additional $100. AND we had to pay for our own live bait, which I paid $70 for.
On top of this, we booked for our family of 6, but only 4 rod and reels were provided. I was glad we all were able to catch something, but only having 4 rods meant we had a couple people unable to fish at all times.
If I book with an individual and then that individual is not available and changes are made, I should had been told of the changes in what I was going to be charged and not just led to assume the charges and accommodations would be the same. I ended up paying $170 of unexpected charges.
I am a local to PCB. I would recommend that if anyone wants to go deep sea fishing to show up to the marina in person. There are plenty of boats/captains out there that are open to take people out. You can discuss the trip and the charges with them in person.
Again, I don’t blame Darius. Thank you Darius! My kids enjoyed fishing with you.

I am not sure what you are talking about maybe you stiffing us on the tip this is your way of trying to make it right in your mind. Your kids had a GREAT time and ended up with a ton of fish.
