Guided by James Hinton
Captain James's wife and he built a life from the ground up and made a living out of owning and operating their family farm. They raised three kids the way God intended and after two of the three moved out, the captain and his wife then started to reflect on the life they made. After years of intensive labor, Captain James decided that it was time for a change. He has fished for the entirety of his life and when he learned that he could make a career of it, he dove right in. The captain began to spend time in the Rockport area and stuck around for about 5 years before making the decision that becoming fisherman was a career he would like to pursue.
Head out with Captain James for an epic day chasing all kinds of inshore sportfish on the bountiful waters of South Texas! The intricate bay systems surrounding Rockport are prime habitat for iconic species such as Redfish, Speckled Trout, and Flounder. You'll be fishing on board Captain James' 23' Majek bay boat. She can handle very skinny water, so you can chase fish all the way into the backwaters! From Jack Crevalle, Speckled Trout, Flounder, Ladyfish, to Redfish, no species is safe when Captain James's is out on the water. He typically likes to use light tackle rigs, throwing artificials and live bait on the bays, or sneak up on fish sunbathing on the flats! Captain James will bring all the necessary supplies for your day out on the water, so all you need to bring are your favorite snacks and drinks, your sun protection, and a Texas fishing license. Book a trip and start wearing 'em out! Read More
Even fir a bad weather day we had a great time!
Had a great time, Captian Hinton was great. Overall everything you would want when booking.
We’ve gone out with James twice now. Though you’re never guaranteed to catch fish, we always do. He’s a professional, nice, and all around good guy. Fun to be around. I highly recommend him.
Took wife and two kids (10 and 6) on half day morning trip. Captain James had everything ready to go when we arrived. Great communication, puts you on fish, and makes sure everyone is having fun. We caught good size drum and red fish. Thanks for a great time!
Rough water , lots of rain the day before and we still caught fish. Ran thru whole tank of gas looking for fish at several spots and caught several At each spot. At end of the day. Ended up with several big ziplocks of fish fillets and james was very kind and patient for our first time boaters. Would recommend to anyone who wants to have a good time and watch a person who truly cares about his clients Thanks again. Billy and family …
