About Your Trip
Step into one of the world’s premier saltwater fly fishing destinations with Captain Dennis, a second-generation guide who’s spent over 30 years fishing the flats of Caye Caulker, Turneffe, and the surrounding cayes. Born and raised on these waters, he brings a level of local knowledge that only comes from a lifetime on the flats.
These trips are fully customized to your group, whether you’re looking for a half day on the water or planning
a full week chasing a Grand Slam. You’ll be fishing quiet, shallow flats just a short run from Caye Caulker—home to healthy populations of bonefish, tarpon, and permit.
The Experience
This is classic flats fishing. Long drifts across shallow water, spotting fish on the move, and making precise casts when it counts. Whether you’re working on your first bonefish or hunting permit, Captain Dennis will guide you through positioning, presentation, and timing to give you the best shot.
Every trip is private, meaning it’s just you and your group on board. No shared boats, no distractions—just a focused day built around your goals and skill level.
Trip Options
Half day trips (4 hours) are a great way to get a feel for the fishery, with flexible AM or PM departures based on tides and conditions. Full day trips (8 hours) give you more time to explore different flats and dial in on target species, increasing your chances at a true Belizean slam.
Trips include drinks, and full day charters also come with a locally prepared lunch. Rods and reels are available if needed, and trips are typically set up for two anglers with the option to add more.
What Sets It Apart
Captain Dennis’s experience is the difference maker. He knows how fish move with the tides, where they stage, and how conditions affect each flat—insight that simply doesn’t show up on a map. That knowledge consistently turns opportunities into shots and shots into fish.
Good to Know
These trips are available out of Caye Caulker, Ambergris Caye, Belize City, and even for cruise ship stopovers. You’ll want to come prepared for tropical conditions with sun protection, proper clothing, and a willingness to stay focused when the moment comes.
This is the kind of fishing where every cast matters. If you’ve been thinking about chasing bonefish, tarpon, and permit in one of the most iconic fisheries in the world, this is your shot to do it right.
