Rockport’s shallow inshore water makes a natural setting for a fly fishing trip, with plenty of room to slow things down, watch the water, and wait for the right shot. Depending on the day, you’ll be targeting Redfish, Speckled Trout, Black Drum, and Sheepshead while sight casting from a skiff built for working skinny water.

About Your Trip

Rockport’s shallow inshore water makes a natural setting for a fly fishing trip, with plenty of room to slow things down, watch the water, and wait for the right shot. Depending on the day, you’ll be targeting Redfish, Speckled Trout, Black Drum, and Sheepshead while sight casting from a skiff built for working skinny water.

Trips are available in 4- or 8-hour options, giving you the choice between a half day and a longer stretch on the coast. Your guide will adjust the approach to the conditions and your experience level, whether you’re still getting comfortable with a fly rod or already know your way around one.

All fishing gear is provided. Bring sunglasses, sunscreen, weather-appropriate clothing, and whatever else you’d like for the day.

This trip keeps things simple: shallow water, a fly rod, and time spent picking apart the Texas coast one cast at a time.
