Captain Jason offers action-packed Galveston deep sea fishing charters. Captain Jason has been the owner of his charter company for 18 years, and started fishing the Gulf of Mexico as a kid. He takes great pride in providing once-in-a-lifetime fishing experiences for anglers of all skill levels, and especially enjoys teaching young anglers and kids to have a great time catching fish.

Captain Jason will host your group aboard his new 30’ Sea Hunt center console boat, which offers a smooth, dry and fast ride to the offshore fishing spots. Powered by twin 300 HP Suzuki engines, and complete with a GPS, fishfinder, VHF, sonar, and radar, this spacious fishing vessel has it all.

The oversized T-top provides plenty of shade and rain protection, and the boat also has a restroom onboard.

Captain Jason uses high-quality Shimano and Avet reels, and Ugly Stik Tiger and custom hopper rods.

Jason and his deckhand were very chill and that worked great for our group! They are very knowledgeable and got us on fish pretty fast. They respected my “if we don’t get a picture, it didn’t happen” motto and made sure I was happy before throwing anything back. We had a great time!

We had a great time fishing with John from Rod benders charter. He was very knowledgeable, helpful friendly, and put us on the fish. We caught a great variety and got to take some trout home for dinner. The only negative aspect was the condition of the boat, it had trouble starting and very uncomfortable seating without cushions, but that’s a minor issue. Overall fantastic experience. We would definitely go again and recommend John as...

Started a little slow but ended well, caught about 15 gafftop and 1 big blacktip shark. Was supposed to go deep sea fishing for red snapper but unable to due to the tropical storm a few days before. Was able to catch gafftop near the jetties then the one big blacktip shark and line broke on another one. Captain and first mate did a good job and were friendly....

Wish we could have caught some redfish and trout but captain kept saying the water was really dirty from the storm limiting that. But any trip you catch alot of fish is a good trip!
