Located on the Eastern Shore of the Chesapeake Bay, Rock Hall is a laid-back waterfront town known for its scenic marinas, fresh seafood spots, and small-town charm—making it the perfect home base for a family-friendly fishing adventure.
You’ll be fishing aboard Captain Lance’s restored 35’ Markley—a classic Chesapeake Bay vessel built for comfort and
performance. With space for up to 10 guests, this boat is powered by a 370 HP Cummins engine and comes equipped with top-notch navigation tools including GPS, radar, a fishfinder, and a VHF radio. Onboard amenities like a private bathroom, ice box, and a live bait well make this trip enjoyable for anglers of all ages. A professional first mate will also be along for the ride to assist throughout the day (tips are appreciated).
This 5-hour trip focuses on chasing Striped Bass—better known around here as Rockfish—the crown jewel of Chesapeake Bay fishing. Depending on the conditions, you might also reel in White Perch, Catfish, or even the occasional Spanish Mackerel. Captain Lance will tailor the day’s strategy using a variety of proven techniques like light tackle, trolling, bottom fishing, jigging, and drift fishing to maximize your chances of success.
Whether you’re an experienced angler or brand new to fishing, Captain Lance and his crew are committed to making your trip both exciting and easygoing. All gear is provided, including rods, reels, tackle, lures, and live bait. The boat is fully licensed, so you won’t need to worry about purchasing a fishing license. At the end of the trip, your catch will be cleaned, filleted, and packed for your cooler free of charge. Just bring along your favorite snacks, drinks, and a sense of adventure!
