The Laguna Madre is an incredible body of water, offering a pristine ecosystem for Redfish, Speckled Trout, Flounder, Black Drum, Sheepshead, and depending on the season, Triple Tail, Snook, Tarpon and much more. He's happy to host anglers of all skill levels and loves teaching beginners and children. Captain Ruben fishes with live bait and cut bait for Redfish and Speckled Trout on light spinning tackle almost year round, and depending on the time of year and your preferences can target some of the other species mentioned above. Captain Ruben fishes from his 21.5' Shallowsport flats boat powered by a 150 HP Yamaha engine. The vessel can host up to 5 anglers but 4 is more comfortable and especially encouraged if your doing a full day.
