About Your Trip
Step aboard with Captain Jake and explore the rich estuarine waters of Tampa Bay, where inshore, river, flats, and backcountry fishing all come together in one of Florida’s most diverse fisheries. Whether you’re booking a 4, 6, or 8-hour trip, you’ll have the chance to experience a range of environments—from winding river systems and shallow grass flats to mangrove-lined shorelines and quiet back bays.
Depending on the season and conditions, you’ll be targeting species like
Redfish, Snook, Tarpon, Spotted Seatrout, Jack Crevalle, and the occasional Cobia. Captain Jake’s trips are built around your preferences, whether you want to keep it simple with light spinning tackle or challenge yourself with fly gear. Both options are fully outfitted with high-quality equipment to ensure you're set up for success. From casting to sight-fishing and everything in between, Jake will walk you through each step with patience and insight.
The trip includes everything you’ll need for a day on the water. All rods, reels, tackle, and lures are provided, along with top-tier fly fishing setups if you want to give that a try. You won’t need to worry about licensing—your fishing license is fully covered. Bottled water is available onboard, and you're welcome to bring along any additional drinks you'd like. For full-day trips, freshly made Boar’s Head deli sandwiches are included to keep you fueled throughout the day.
Captain Jake is as approachable as he is experienced. Known for his calm demeanor and strong knowledge of the local fishery, he’s focused on making the trip enjoyable and informative, whether you're casting a rod for the first time or have years of experience under your belt. He’ll work closely with you to match the day’s plan to your goals and skill level, keeping things relaxed and low-pressure while maximizing your chances of connecting with fish.
