I've been fishing all my life, from creeks to ponds to lakes and the ocean, inshore and offshore. I Captained 125" Offshore fishing boats and 45" dive boats for over 20 years. I've been a deep-sea diver for over 30 years, so I know what the fish are doing firsthand from under the water. I've been fishing out of Rockport for over 10 years. Fish like Redfish, Spotted Seatrout, Tarpon, Sheepshead, Flounder, Black Drum, and more can be found in these waters, depending on the time of year. On these trips, you can expect to Cast, Drift, or troll using light tackle.

Kids are welcome, so the whole family can come and unplug for the day! If you don't have a child-sized life vest of your own, be sure to ask if there's one on board. Snacks are permitted onboard — bring your favorites to ward off any mid-trip fatigue!

Capt. Hook runs a 19' Blue Wave bay boat with space for 3 passengers. It has all the essentials that no fishing machine can run without. Capt. Hook has rods and reels for you. Live bait is available.

Before coming aboard, buy a local fishing license for everyone in your group. This information is usually available online, or Walmart stores sell them fast and easy. Some species might be protected or require a tag to keep them, so make sure you know what to expect.

Some essentials to bring are a hat, sunglasses, and sunscreen (non-spray). Bottled water is included. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, so long as you avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles.
