Anglers have travelled to New Mexico to fly fish for over 100 years. An Orvis International Destination, this "private national park" offers a world-class trout fishery across its 30 miles of transparent streams and 19 alpine lakes.

With snowcapped tundra, 19 fishable lakes and over 550,000 stunning acres of picturesque lands, this is the jewel of northern New Mexico. Its diverse landscape is home to a wide variety of wildlife including Elk, Bison, Black Bears and Mountain Lions. Whether riding horseback through open fields, exploring turn-of-the-century charcoal kilns, or fly fishing for Rio Grande Cutthroat Trout, there's something for everyone.

Rest up at the Costilla Fishing Lodge, a wonderfully secluded getaway located 45 minutes from the Main Lodge. Tucked away in high country at 10,000 feet, Costilla Fishing Lodge offers direct access to untamed wilderness and fishing lakes. Breathe in the crisp alpine air and soak in the stunning views of the Sangre de Cristo mountain range as you cast to Rio Grande Cutthroat Trout.

Constructed using the property’s own timber and stone, this solar powered eco-friendly lodge is certified LEED Silver. Enjoy incredible views from the expansive porch, relax in front of the grand stone fireplace, and enjoy meals from a dedicated chef. Costilla Fishing Lodge is available to book per room, or as a full buyout.
