I have been a fishing charter captain for 27 years and have taken thousands of people fishing. I have helped countless customers beat there personal best's and put hundreds of fish on walls. I am focused on striped bass but can also fish for other species. I cook when I fish and we always eat great. I have this down to a science and sometimes will troll over 20 rods. That is where I earned the name the "Rod Father" and you can read about me in GON Magazine, Angler Magazine, Our Town, Morgan County and Putman County News Papers. Also my good friend Captain Mack Farr has done several videos documenting how I fish and I was a regular on Mack's Radio show as well. I am the president of Lake Oconee Striped Bass Club and also help with many charity fishing events including the Derby here on Lake Oconee. Lets go fishing!!!

Same as every year more fishing stuff!

How did you get started guiding?

It was my passion and my dream so I made it happen in 1998 and have not looked back since.

What makes you different from other guides?

I feed you, then I make you laugh until you pee your pants and troll up to 20 rods. I have had fish on 16 rods at one time this year and have had 6 fish on a single rod on a trip this year so things can get crazy quick. Just watch my video's on Facebook or You Tube.

On this half-day trip, you'll fish aboard Captain Kevin’s 21’ Angler center console — a versatile and well-rigged vessel perfect for chasing down the action across Lake Oconee. Depending on lake and weather conditions, you'll launch from one of several ramps, giving you the best chance to start the day on top of the fish.

Captain Kevin runs a dynamic program, often trolling up to 15 rods at once with a spread of live bait, spoons, and multi-jig setups. This technique is tailor-made for targeting hard-fighting Hybrids and Stripers, but there’s also plenty of opportunity to hook into big Catfish and even Largemouth Bass throughout the lake. If you’re after consistent action and rod-bending fun, this trip delivers.
