About Your Trip
Hatteras, North Carolina—where the Gulf Stream meets rich inshore waters and a world-class fishery is just a short boat ride from the dock. With a legendary boat-building legacy and access to nearly every migratory species cruising the Atlantic Coast, it’s no wonder anglers from around the world flock to this fishing haven. Whether you’re a first-timer or a seasoned angler chasing your next trophy, there’s no place quite like Hatteras—and no better way to experience
it than with Captain Mike at the helm.
Captain Mike is all about getting you on the fish and making sure you have a blast while doing it. With years of experience fishing these waters, he knows where to go, what to throw, and when to be there. He’ll tailor each trip to your goals, using a variety of techniques—from light tackle and spinning to trolling, drift fishing, and even fly fishing. You can count on a hands-on, action-packed day no matter the season.
Depending on the time of year and what’s biting, you could be chasing Cobia cruising the surface, casting to Spanish Mackerel and Bluefish feeding in frenzied schools, or targeting Redfish in the skinny backwaters. Amberjack and Flounder are also regular contenders, and when conditions allow, Captain Mike might even take you to nearshore wrecks or reefs for something a bit bigger. Trips range from 2 to 8 hours, giving you the flexibility to pack in a full day of fishing or sneak in a quick morning run.
You’ll be fishing aboard a sleek 23’ Carolina Yacht that’s built for versatility, comfort, and performance. Outfitted with top-notch gear, the boat features a wireless trolling motor for stealthy approaches, a live bait well to keep your bait fresh and frisky, an ice box for your catch, and all the latest electronics—including GPS and fishfinder—to help lock onto the bite. There’s even a flybridge for spotting fish from above. She’s spacious enough for up to 4 anglers and designed to handle everything from inshore flats to nearshore structure.
All the essentials are covered—rods, reels, terminal tackle, lures, and live bait (when applicable) are included, and you won’t need to worry about fishing licenses. Everyone on board is covered under the boat’s license, so just show up ready to fish. Kids are more than welcome too, making this a great choice for families looking to spend quality time on the water.
With Captain Mike leading the way, you can experience the spectrum of Hatteras fishing—from calm backwater stalking to exciting runs out to reefs and wrecks. No matter your experience level, this is the kind of trip that makes memories. So grab your shades, load up your camera, and hop aboard—Hatteras is calling.
