First and foremost, you'll need to invest in proper hog hunting gear. This will include your choice of weapon, gun or bow, as well as a good knife and potentially a pistol or additional sidearm. You'll also want to bring binoculars and camouflage clothing for both warm and cool weather.
Wild boars have an excellent sense of smell, so it's also helpful to have some scent eliminator handy.
While you're away from home, you'll also need some comfortable clothing for relaxing around the lodge and basics like a field backpack, water bottle, and snacks. Don't forget to bring any medications and toiletries that you'll need and a couple of hefty coolers for taking your freshly processed meat home.
Lastly, it's important to mention that many hunting ranches are self-catering, including Sandfork Ranch. So, you'll need to bring all of your food and drinks from home, but you will find a fully stocked kitchen where you can prep and cook meals.

At the SandFork ranch we offer great hog hunting, hunts for nice size rams, along with a few native hunts ie whitetail deer, morning dove, and rio grande turkey.
If you are looking for a fun time hog hunting, great hospitality, and a relaxed atmosphere the SandFork ranch should fit the bill. The SandFork ranch resides in Jones county, Texas in between the clear fork and the double mountain fork of the brazos river, therefore it is located in a prime hog hunting area. The ranch has a lot of sand, big oak trees, oak brush, mesquite flats, and tall Indian grass. Located just 30 minutes northwest of Abilene, Texas and just a few hours west of the DFW area.

Everything you'll need for your trip
2 hogs included in price. Any additional hogs are 125$ each. Bring your own firearm or bow and Camouflage.

This trip is managed by an outfitter. Brice will be your point of contact and you will go out with one of their guides.
Payment & Tipping
We use a cashless autopay system. We'll send you a boarding pass, and on the day of the trip, your guide will scan your boarding pass to automatically transfer the remaining balance. The only cash needed is to tip your guide (we recommend 20%).
Cancellation/Refund Policy
The deposit for this trip is non-refundable (but if the weather is too bad to go out, you will still receive a refund).
