You'll be fishing aboard a 22’ Sea Hunt center console that’s purpose-built for both fishing and surfing adventures. With room for up to 5 anglers, the boat is decked out with a shaded canopy to escape the tropical sun, a private bathroom, and a full suite of Simrad electronics to keep you dialed in on the fish. Outriggers, a live bait well, a multimedia sound system, and an RTIC ice box round out a vessel designed for serious action and maximum comfort.

When you fish with Captain Christian and co-captain Walter—both seasoned pros with sportfishing records to their names—you’re not just booking a boat; you’re gaining access to decades of local knowledge. Inshore Trips (Half Day – Morning or Afternoon):

Costa Rica is world-famous for its offshore fishing, but the inshore bite is equally electrifying. On a half-day trip, you’ll target hard-fighting Roosterfish—an iconic catch here that will test your skills and strength. You’ll also have the chance to reel in Mahi Mahi, Cubera Snapper, Yellowfin Tuna, Jack Crevalle, Great Barracuda, African Pompano, and even the occasional Skipjack or Needlefish. Whether you’re a first-time angler or a seasoned veteran, the variety and excitement of the inshore fishery never disappoint.

3/4 Day & Full Day Offshore Trips:

If you're looking for the big game thrill, head offshore for an action-packed day chasing some of the Pacific’s most prized pelagic species. Depending on the season and conditions, you’ll target Blue and Striped Marlin, Sailfish, Wahoo, Yellowfin Tuna, and Mahi Mahi. You’ll also keep an eye out for Cubera Snapper and big Amberjack lurking in deeper waters. These trips are perfect for anglers looking to experience the legendary offshore fishery Costa Rica is known for.

Fishing Techniques & Gear:

No matter what species you're targeting, Captain Christian has the right gear and techniques dialed in. He offers a variety of methods including light and heavy tackle (Penn gear), trolling, spinning, jigging, popping, deep sea fishing, and bottom fishing. Live bait (typically Ballyhoo, and Bonito if available) and a full spread of lures are included with every trip.

What’s Included:

Everything you need for a day on the water is taken care of—from top-notch rods and reels to expertly prepared bait. You’ll enjoy light snacks like chips and dip, fresh pineapple, and PJ sandwiches for lunch. Drinks are also provided, including water, sodas, fruit juice, and a few beers. At the end of your trip, your catch will be cleaned and filleted by Daniel, and you’ll head home with a bag of fresh fish ready to hit the grill.

All gear is included, but we also recommend bringing sunglasses, sunscreen, weather-appropriate clothing, and anything else you might want on the trip.
You'll need to buy a fishing license before getting out there. Find out more about licenses here.
We use a cashless autopay system. We'll send you a boarding pass, and on the day of the trip, your guide will scan your boarding pass to automatically transfer the remaining balance. The only cash needed is to tip your guide (we recommend 20%).
Cancel for free up to 3 days before the trip and receive credit back to your account. Cancelling within 3 of the trip will forfeit your deposit to the guide. Day-of cancellations and no-shows will be charged the full balance of the trip to their card.
In the event of inclement weather you'll be covered by out 100% Weather Guarantee and will not lose your deposit.

In the event of inclement weather, our guides will check the conditions and make the final call on whether its safe to go on the trip. If they decide the trip needs to be postponed, we'll work closely with you to reschedule or provide a credit for the full deposit, which can be applied to any of our trips in the US and beyond.
Each trip's price is determined by the guide and reflects all associated costs. A significant factor in pricing is often the type of boat and the corresponding fuel expenses. Additional costs may include leases, marina or slip fees, and the expenses involved in providing and maintaining the necessary gear for your trip.
